About Coburns
When entrepreneur Mark Coburn declared to his family that he would drink 20 year old Coburns Whisky on his 70th birthday, they knew if anyone could make it happen it would be him.
By his 49th birthday, Mark knew he needed to get spirit into the barrel to meet his audacious goal. What followed was the building of Station Lane Distillery in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.
The distillery’s location is unique for not only being built on Australia’s largest peat bog but also for being 770 metres above sea level.
Our international success can be attributed to the cold nights and warm days of the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, which we believe to be the perfect conditions for ageing world-class whisky.

Why Coburns?
Coburns is an end to end solution. We are not simply a go-between, connecting investors with whisky distilleries. We are involved at every step of the way – from manufacturing to buying the barrel back.
We have a buy back agreement in place with every purchase. Coburns is legally obligated to buy back the barrel at maturity. Once we have determined the whisky has matured (between 3-5 years), we buy the barrel back at purchase price plus return.
